We are seeking candidates with proven Sales experience and ability to sell Personal Lines Insurance products to new clients of HUB International by means of networking and building relationships. JOB FUNCTION:

 

This individual will report  to the Vice President, Personal Insurance, and is responsible for customer relationship management, retention and growth of a portfolio within our Retail Insurance Division.

Specifically: 

  • Seek outside sales opportunities through social networking and other sources
  • Maintain a full source of suitable (qualified) prospects at all times
  • Solicit and sell new business based on the target prospects/niches.  Meet annual objectives.
  • Develop personal strategies for profitable sales consistent with division goals and objectives
  • Keep abreast of market trends and conditions
  • Recognize and respond to sales opportunities for personal lines division and other divisions within the brokerage
  • Market and promote the brokerage whenever possible through a variety of business and personal activities (memberships/meetings/events etc.)
  • Maintain nil receivables on new business. Full premium collections/payment plan set up is the responsibility of the account executive for all new business.
  • Complete risk surveys, applications, visit and inspect/arrange inspections where required.
  • Work cooperatively with other team members to assist in fulfilling team objectives
  • Participate in sales meetings, training and seminars when directed.
  • Act on cross-sell opportunities and obtain referrals from clients/prospects.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Required Experience

  • RIBO Licensed
  • Understanding of insurance principals surrounding personal property and automobile coverage
  • Basic computer skills including keyboarding, familiarity with Microsoft Word, TAM and quoting programs (trainable).
  • Insurance experience is an asset but not mandatory
  • Proven track record in Sales a must!
